Legislative Assistant Opening – Rep. John Ratcliffe The Office of Congressman John Ratcliffe is seeking qualified candidates for a Legislative Assistant position based in the Washington, D.C. office. Duties will include developing and implementing policy initiatives in line with office goals, tracking legislation and other policy developments to brief the Member, meeting with constituents and other stakeholders to advance the Congressman’s priorities, and coordinating with D.C. and district staff regarding legislation, messaging, and events. The ideal candidate should be proactive, possess exceptional writing and communication skills, and be a proven multi-tasker. Candidates should be able to think critically in a fast-paced environment, be able to handle a heavy work load, and be detail-oriented.
