Title: Online Fundraising Manager Status: Exempt



Reports To: Vice President, Membership and Marketing





General Description:

The League of Conservation Voters (LCV) works to turn environmental values into national priorities. To secure the environmental future of our planet, LCV’s mission is to advocate for sound environmental policies, to elect pro-environmental candidates who will adopt and implement such policies and to provide the state LCVs with the resources and tools to accomplish and sustain their mission. The Online Fundraising Manager works under the direction of the Vice President for Membership and Marketing to conduct low donor (under $1,000) fundraising, e-mail and site testing, and e-mail list management.



Responsibilities:



Manages all aspects of e-mail acquisition and data modeling strategy including; initial
system set up, email design and schedule, data management, ISP communication/intervention, e-mail tracking, performance, and feedback loops.
· Reviews set up and execution of non-acquisition online campaigns including; testing recommendations and outcomes, e-mail review, and post-performance reporting. Assists Development Associate in campaign setup and execution as needed.

Develops comprehensive e-mail testing and tracking performance systems for all online campaigns (including acquisition and house lists). Testing systems to include baseline performance metrics, comparative metrics, campaign testing and reporting, and rollout recommendations. Reports outcomes to Digital Strategies Team, VP and SVP of Development, and Executive Team on monthly and quarterly basis.

Builds and manages pages, tools, and graphics in CMS and CRM as needed. Works with New Media Manager/Communications/Digital Strategies Team to troubleshoot site problems and works with Convio to ensure issues get resolved.

Drafts copy for non-campaign online messaging, edits copy, and routes materials through vetting process as needed.



Manages e-mail cross promotions with outside organizations, including contracts, data suppressions, and results. Tracks cross-promotion groups within eCRM system and regularly reports on group performance.

Manages“feedback@lcv.org” mailbox and all e-mail inquiry correspondence.

Manages online calendar for Digital Strategies’ Team.

Coordinates and supports all online fundraising and cultivation emails for High Donor programs.

· Other duties as assigned.





Qualifications:



· Work experience: 3-5 years of demonstrable success in online fundraising and online campaigns. Experience in a political advocacy context, preferable in a progressive or environmental organization.



· Education: College degree required.



· Skills: Excellent Excel skills; Proven experience coding in CSS/HTML; Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop; Experience with Convio, Salsa, and/or other eCRMs; Background in graphic design a plus



· Capabilities: Initiative, Energy and judgment; Critical thinking skills; Sense of teamwork and community; Highly organized; Interest in environmental issues desirable.

The British Embassy is seeking a world class communication professional to head its Strategic Communications operation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Minimum Qualifications/Experience:



Successful candidate will:

Have an in-depth knowledge of the full range of communication tools and techniques, and the communication environment within the US.

Congressional, government or public policy experience preferred. Some knowledge of international policy issues would also be an advantage.

Congressional Internships



The Office of Congresswoman Donna F. Edwards (D-MD) is seeking qualified interns for the upcoming spring semester to serve in the Washington, D.C. office and District Offices. Applicants should have a familiarity with the legislative process, have a desire to learn while being a part of a hardworking team, and be dedicated to serving the citizens of Maryland. The Washington, D.C. intern experience is designed to immerse interns in all areas of a Congressional work environment. Outreach Internship

The Outreach Intern supports the team with a variety of outreach projects and activities, including event planning, and advocacy communications. The Outreach Intern also conducts project research using the web and traditional sources such as booth set up at events. S/he helps develop several databases and lists of state, local/civic, and federal organizations and government agencies. S/he must monitor local and national media through print, online/blog and television news media.
